How to Buy JAMB e-Pin for UTME and DE Exams

The sale of JAMB e-PIN for the 2024 JAMB UTME registration has commenced and will end on February 24th, 2024. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has earlier announced the methods candidates can use to obtain their e-PINS.

For those who may not be familiar with e-PIN, it stands for electronic PIN. Candidates are required to purchase the e-PIN to register for the JAMB exam at any accredited JAMB CBT center.

It is important to note that JAMB registration will commence on January 15th, 2024.

Candidates must obtain their profile codes before purchasing the e-PIN.

How Much is JAMB ePIN?

The cost of the JAMB ePIN depends on whether or not you plan to take the JAMB mock exam. The cost breakdown is as follows:

Direct Entry (DE)N6,200
UTME PIN (without mock)N6,200
UTME PIN (with mock)N7,700

Alert: You must specify the type of Jamb e-Pin you want to purchase, with or without a mock exam, or Direct Entry (DE). Refunds will not be given after payment.

Where to Buy JAMB ePIN

You can purchase the JAMB e-PIN from any of these outlets:

To obtain your JAMB e-PIN, you have several options available. You can visit any Nigerian Post office nationwide, any bank around you, or Mobile Money Operators (MMOs) like PAGA. 

Some of the banks that sell the e-PIN include FIRSTBANK, JAIZ, Polaris, STERLING, TAJ, UNION, and UNITY. 

Additionally, you can purchase the e-PIN from microfinance banks (MFBs), and other participating financial institutions and centers.

How To Get Your JAMB ePIN

  • Obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Create your JAMB profile and email address
  • Generate your JAMB profile code
  • Visit any of the listed outlets above
  • Pay for your JAMB e-Pin
  • Complete your registration at a CBT center

Different Payment Methods for JAMB Pin

Payment via Banks/microfinance banks

  • Present your profile code, phone number, and any other required details. Pay the required amount by cash or card. 
  • After payment, the JAMB PIN will be automatically delivered to the candidate’s phone number.

Payment via POS

  • To obtain a JAMB PIN, candidates need to provide their profile code and make a payment using a credit or debit card. Once the payment is confirmed, the JAMB PIN will be delivered to the candidate’s unique phone number. 
  • Payment can be made via POS at the JAMB state offices, any other POS outlets, and the JAMB CBT Centre that requires it.

Payment via ATM

  • Insert your ATM card, input your PIN, select Bill Payment, and then choose JAMB. 
  • Enter your profile code and proceed to make payment. 
  • Your JAMB PIN will be sent to your phone.

Payment via USSD Code

  • Dial *565*6*55019# (UTME) or *565*6*66019# (DE). 
  • Enter your Profile Code. 
  • Select your bank and follow the instructions displayed on the screen. 
  • The JAMB-PIN will be sent to the candidate’s unique phone number.

Note this USSD Code *565*6*55019# can be used only by JAMB UTME Candidates, While *565*6*66019# is for Direct Entry candidates.

How To Recover Your Lost Jamb e-PIN 

If you have not received your e-PIN or if you have lost it, you can send a message containing “UTMEPIN” from your unique phone number to 55019 or 66019 for UTME respectively. The e-PIN will then be retrieved and delivered to your unique phone number.

It is important to keep your e-PIN safe as you will need it to register for the JAMB exam at any accredited JAMB CBT Centre once registration begins on January 15th, 2024.
